Service Committee
As many of you know, we recently formed a Service Committee to help Mission Dharma become more active in providing volunteer support to our local Mission community. After several meetings, we've identified a few possible volunteer opportunities involving homeless outreach, food distribution, working with disadvantaged kids, and more.
Meeting Schedule
Any Sangha member who'd like to join the Service Committee is welcome. We meet every other week before the regular Tuesday Night Meditations. Please email <mission-dharma-service-committee@googlegroups.com> if you are interested in an up to date meeting schedule.

Weekly Trash Pickup around the church
The Gubbio Project
Collecting soap, shampoo and conditioner and assembling kits for their clients
Volunteering with the project's daily mission

Quarterly clothing drive at the church

Mission Night Walks

Mission Promise Neighborhood
Survey Results
We recently surveyed the Sangha about doing service work. Below are some of the highlights:
36 people responded
88% said they "Might be interested" or "Yes, I'm interested" in volunteering
75% were interested in order to "Give back to the community"; while 60% said they'd like to "Connect with other Sangha members; and 50% were interested in "Contributing to causes I care about".
Most people were available on the weekends, with Sunday Afternoon being the best time slot, followed by Sunday Morning, Saturday Afternoon and Saturday Morning.
Thanks for all those that participated in the survey. Hopefully, together, we can make a difference!!
